Sesame oil from Lee Kum Kee is a light oil mainly used in the preparation of cold dishes such as salads. This is because if heated too high, sesame oil will burn, which does nothing to enhance its flavour or effectiveness. The nutty flavour of sesame oil is delicious on its own, but it can also be used well as the base of another dressing on dips. When adding sesame oil to a hot dish, do so just before serving.
